Permatex® High-Performance Thread Sealant

OEM specified. Formulated specifically for metal, tapered pipe thread fittings, it replaces Teflon® tape and pipe dopes. Cures rapidly to withstand up to 10,000 PSI. Prevents galling and protects mated threaded areas from rust and corrosion. Contains PTFE.

Automobile
Suggested Applications: Stainless steel fittings, head bolts into through holes, oil PSI sending units/sensors, oil and coolant lines, intake manifold switches, rear axle fill plug, and fuel fittings.

Motorcycle
Suggested Applications: Timing hole plug, oil hose fitting

Heavy Duty
Suggested Applications: Drain plugs, all tapered fittings

DIRECTIONS:
For best results, clean parts with Permatex® Surface Prep™ activator.
Knead tube of Thread Sealant before use.
Apply sealant to leading threads of the male fitting, leaving the first thread free of sealant. Apply to only _?_of a thread turn. It is not necessary to apply to all threads.
Assemble parts and tighten to recommended torque. Refer to Technical Data Sheet for complete information.
NOTE: Permatex® Thread Sealant seals threaded metal fittings on hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and cooling systems. It is not recommended for plastics or rubber.
